Starting today the Alaska Brewer’s Guild is putting on Alaska Beer Week!
The daily festivities go until Sunday, January 22nd. It’s a celebration not only of the great beer and breweries coming out of Alaska, but also all over the West Coast. Attendees should go into the next week hungry, and thirsty for some big beers.
Tonight kick off the week at Twister Creek Restaurant in Talkeetna, with 6 specialty and experimental sour Belgian beers from Denali Brewing Company.
Tomorrow Celestial Meads is having an open house.
On Sunday January 15, there is a Midnight Sun Brewing Company Super Foods Dinner at MSBC Loft. 6 beers, and 4 super foods later, you’ll really be ready for Beer Week.
There’s almost too much to choose from on Tuesday, January 17. Between gluten free night at Tap Root, a Big Sky Brewing dinner at Eagle River Alehouse, and two other beer dinners from Pike Brewing and Anchor, there are some serious decisions to be made.
On Wednesday, January 18 there are another 4 beer dinners to choose from.
Don’t miss the Great Alaskan Beer and Barleywine Festival on Friday and Saturday, January 19 and 20. The 2012 Fest Guest is Steven Pauwels from Boulevard Brewing.
Then head to the farewell brunch at Spenard Roadhouse on Sunday, January 21.
